Read what our clients are saying about us! Please keep in mind that every child is different and ABA results vary from child to child.
I cannot thank the staff at MASC enough for everything they have done for my daughter Sarah. She was diagnosed with moderate Autism at twenty months. At the time she was completely non-verbal and her doctors told my husband and I that she may never talk. We were also told that she functioned at a three to seventh month level. I was completely lost, scared and did not know what to do. Her doctor had recommended sending her to Mea 'Alofa and I took her there as soon as I could. When we got there we were greeted with a warm, positive staff and I immediately felt at ease. Sarah has been going for a little over a year and the advances that she has made has been amazing. She can talk and her personality is blooming every day. Her doctor tells us now that she has caught up in her delays. I owe this all to the wonderful staff. All of Sarah's therapists have been supportive, hard working and caring. They always help me if I have any concerns and I feel like they are part of our family. I strongly recommend Mea' Alofa to anyone who has a child on the Autistic Spectrum. Everyone at MASC is incredible and has given my family so much hope.

We wanted to say, thank you to you and all of the MASC Ladies! Wow! You all are truly amazing. We appreciate the dedicated service, education and support you provide to our families - touching our minds, hearts and empowering our children! Skye enjoyed the MASC Parent Night Out Respite evening immensely! She was very *happy*, all smiles and laughs!
The caring children who helped out at the PNO were great as well... we'd love to talk to you sometime regarding giving neuro typical peers insight into playing with our kiddos with autism. Skye belongs to a Girl Scouts Brownie Troop and we're teaching the girls basic sign language and about inclusion.
Have a wonderful weekend.
All the Best,
Harron&Sonya
"When my son Brandon was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, PDD-NOS, I was lost, confused and I did not know where to go for help. After hearing about the Mea'Alofa Autism Support Center from the ECHO Case Manager, I knew I was on the right path to getting my son the help he needed. Upon visiting the center and staff members; my son and I were greeted with open arms. They took the time to answer every question I had and they also made recommendations about other services I could use as well. I am very thankful that I found them when my son was still at an early age. Since starting ABA therapy, my son has improved his speech and fine motor skills far above my dreams, and it is due to all of the hard work the staff members put in to their jobs and kids every day. The staff members here at the center truly care about the kids and they are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that your child has every thing he or she needs to help them achieve their goals. If you're a parent or guardian that is new to the world of Autism and you don't know what to do or where to start, please take my advice and call or visit the Mea'Alofa Autism Support Center. I promise, it will save you a lot of heartache, frustration, and it will give you the tools you need to get your child the help they may need."Shannon Champagne
"My son Andrew has been with Christine/M.A.S.C. since he was 2 and a half years old. It's been 3 and a half years since and he is now in a REGULAR kindergarten class. He still has autism but he is functioning so well, he can be in a regular classroom under an "inclusion program" with only 45 minutes of Special Education Support per day.
Now 3.5 years later, I view his "Program Book" as his Bible. I read it after every session, I know all the things he's working on and I try to incorporate his ABA into every opportunity I can in my son's daily life. ....He's my little hero and he and I work so hard to maintain and acquire the skills he needs to stay in a mainstream environment and/or classroom.
Work with M.A.S.C. so you too can work with your child and see them change...Don't let ANY therapist work with your child who doesn't actively involve you. If they don't give you a program book, ask to videotape them or if they don't actively involve you, then go find another therapist.
M.A.S.C. has given my child the opportunity to live a full and happy life in spite of his autism."Lorrie Piepkorn
"Thank you so much for all you have done for my son, Hayden. When he first came to MASC at 3 years old, he wasn't speaking at all and he was having tantrums multiple times per day. We were so worried about him and wondered if anyone could help us. Finding MASC was an answer to our prayers. The therapists are the best! I had such good communication from them. I always felt that I knew what Hayden was learning and how I could help him at home. They answered all of my questions every week and I felt comfortable knowing that they were fully able to handle any behavior problems that he might have while he was there.
Hayden really responded to ABA in a way that I could not have imagined. The therapists that he worked with were not only knowledgeable, but also patient and kind. The one on one, individual learning plans are amazing. I loved that he was learning his own skills, at his own pace and level. When he was ready to move on to a new skill set, he did. His learning took off and he began to surprise me daily with the things he could do. I hadn't imagined when I brought him to therapy in the beginning that he would be learning so much. Not only did they help him academically, but they also were instrumental in helping his daily living skills like potty training. At 4, he now has the ability to sit down with me and do preschool workbooks which is something I wondered if he would ever do. His behavior has steadily improved along with his communication skills.
I love that I can now talk with him. He can tell me what he wants and we have so many fewer tantrums because I now know what he is thinking. I am so pleased with everything that the MASC center has done for my son and our family. They gave us hope and the knowledge that our son can learn.
I recommend them to anyone looking for ABA therapy for their child.
